The Hoyt Library Local History and Genealogy Collection is the third largest genealogical collection in the state with resources from around the country and world.

Also featured is the Dr. Richard D. Mudd Lincoln Collection, the result of an extraordinary effort to prove his grandfather's innocence, containing a variety of books relating to the Civil War, the Lincoln assassination, and Abraham Lincoln. Dr. Samuel Mudd was the doctor who set John Wilkes Booth's leg and sentenced to life imprisonment for the complicity in the assassination of President Lincoln.

Additionally, a plethora of original materials documenting the history of Saginaw are available. Handicap accessible. 

 

Japanese Cultural Center and Tea House

One of five authentic Japanese teahouses in the United States. The Tea House was built in 1985-86 as a tribute to Saginaw's sister city, Tokushima, Japan. Facility includes display of Japanese articles and gift shop.

Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra
